The Swedish text rhymes and is 100 characters long. Here I just translated the meaning.

World environment day – think about how you think

Today, June 5, is the World Environment Day.
The reason it’s observed on this date is that UN environment conference started in Stockholm (of all places) on June 5th 1972.

Due to this date, I’ve noted new stickers in some washrooms here in Dubai, with the text:

“Imagine a world without water – don’t waste water”

And, for the first time, I noted that someone had forgotten to close the water tap, next to the new sign.

The purpose is, of course, good. But there’s a problem with the text. As you may be aware, what you imagine becomes reality. So, if anyone would have asked me, I’d suggested the following text:

Imagine a world where there’s enough water for everyone – take care of the water!

PlusPlus – the positive inner voice

Missed the train? It will soon be back! (Safa Park, Dubai, April 2011)
Missed the train? It will soon be back! (Safa Park, Dubai, April 2011)
I may be about to give up
and feel that life sucks
The that inner voice will tell me “You’re OK!”,
“You can do it!, Try again!”

I may feel that nobody in the whole world loves me
“-But what about me?
And, if you make sure that you love yourself, then there’ll be at least two of us.
And, besides, the voice continues, if you just dare to believe it,
you’ll soon notice that you’re highly loved by all living and the whole universe.” Continue reading PlusPlus – the positive inner voice

Why are you here? (100 characters)

-Why are you here?
I had no answer, despite all the times I’ve asked myself the same direct question.

On the Swedish poetry site poeter.se there’s a rather popular short-story format :”100 words”, i.e. you should write something interesting in exactly 100 words.
I decided to try a new format for poetry, to use exactly 100 characters, including spaces. In the process I realized that Word doesn’t count the “new paragraph”, so neither do I 🙂
What do you think? Is this an interesting format?

Nightmare?

Safa Park (Dubai), April 2011
Safa Park (Dubai), April 2011
The air was heavy, almost impossible to breathe.

Somehow, I went the wrong way, and ended up on a construction site. Or, so far, they were rather tearing down, than constructing anything.

A guy in protection mask showed up and walked up to me. He asked how I could have missed the fact that everything was changed more than a month ago and this way was closed. Continue reading Nightmare?

Dear Universe

Someone told me the hour for requests just started.

So here are some requests of mine. Hope you’re OK with them.

Help me to understand people.
Help people to understand me.
(or help me to express myself better,
if that’s easier. Or maybe you can do both)

Help people to understand each other better.
I hope this will make wars end.
Otherwise, please help to finish all wars, too. Continue reading Playing as requested…
