Sedan f\u00f6rsta mars har jag nogsamt burit mina martenitsar<\/a>. Jo, en h\u00e4ngde jag faktiskt av mig n\u00e4r jag s\u00e5g ett blommande k\u00f6rsb\u00e4rstr\u00e4d<\/a> Men, trots allt v\u00e4ntar man i den bulgariska huvudstaden mera p\u00e5 att storken skall anl\u00e4nda. I f\u00f6rrg\u00e5r best\u00e4mde jag mig f\u00f6r att unders\u00f6ka, hur det stod till med dem.<\/p>\n

Jag fick r\u00e5det att \u00e5ka ut en bit l\u00e4ngs Tsarigradski-v\u00e4gen i riktning mot Plovdiv(Tsarigrad=Istanbul) och titta d\u00e4r.<\/p>\n

Och, ser man p\u00e5. Direkt vid utfarten ur stan har n\u00e5gra storkar ordnat det f\u00f6r sig. I mittremsan p\u00e5 den stora v\u00e4gen Sofia-Plovdiv-Istanbul finns det h\u00f6ga lyktstolpar p\u00e5 var sjuttionde meter. D\u00e4r \u00e4r det smidigt f\u00f6r storkarna att bygga ett stadigt rede. Och p\u00e5 natten, n\u00e4r staden t\u00e4nder gatubelysningen, s\u00e5 inneb\u00e4r det ocks\u00e5 att storkarna f\u00e5r gratis centralv\u00e4rme…<\/p>\n

Men detta val av plats f\u00f6rv\u00e5nar mig \u00e4nd\u00e5. Lyktstolpen st\u00e5r trots allt mitt i landets viktigaste trafikled. D\u00e4runder rusar expressbussar till Plovdiv, runga lastbilar med varor fr\u00e5n Turkiet som skall vidare till Sofia och resten av Europa. Oljud. Damm. Tutor. Dygnet runt! Och inte blir det m\u00f6rkt p\u00e5 natten heller, f\u00f6r d\u00e5 t\u00e4nds ju belysningen…<\/p>\n

Min teori \u00e4r att detta \u00e4r tyska storkar.<\/p>\n

I Sverige v\u00e4xte jag upp i byn J\u00e4rna, 15 km fr\u00e5n S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje. Om man \u00e5ker gamla riksettan som snirklar sig fram i n\u00e4rheten av E4, s\u00e5 kan man efter cirka tv\u00e5 tredjedelar av v\u00e4gen komma ut p\u00e5 en naturlig klippavsats rakt ovanf\u00f6r motorv\u00e4gen. Alltsomoftast kunde vi se semestrande tyskar som placerade t\u00e4lt eller husvagn d\u00e4r f\u00f6r natten, eller s\u00e5 vek de upp sitt campingbord och drack kaffe, uppsluppet studerande den intensiva trafiken nedanf\u00f6r. Jag tror nog aldrig jag s\u00e5g andra \u00e4n tyskar koppla av p\u00e5 den platsen.<\/p>\n

Jag minns ocks\u00e5 n\u00e4r vi bilade genom Europa. Just i Tyskland kunde man f\u00e5 se hur f\u00e4der stod p\u00e5 broar \u00f6ver autobahn och h\u00f6gljutt ber\u00e4ttade n\u00e5got f\u00f6r sina barn, samtidigt som de pekade mot olika bilar som for f\u00f6rbi. (I barndomen h\u00e4nde det att jag och n\u00e5gra kompisar ocks\u00e5 stod p\u00e5 broar \u00f6ver v\u00e4gar. Men det var n\u00e5got helt annat: Vi t\u00e4vlade om vem som lyckades spotta p\u00e5 n\u00e5gon bil som svischade f\u00f6rbi.)<\/p>\n

\u00c5 andra sidan, p\u00e5 ett s\u00e5nt st\u00e4lle kanske en stork kan f\u00e5 vara i fred fr\u00e5n folk? Det \u00e4r f\u00f6renat med livsfara bara att ta sig fram till stolpen. Och h\u00e4r befinner sig ju storken strategiskt placerad sis\u00e5d\u00e4r 15 meter ovanf\u00f6r den hjulburna stressen. Stan \u00e4r dessutom sn\u00e4ll, den river inte dessa stora f\u00e5glars sommarbost\u00e4der, trots avsaknad av bygglov. (Tack vare detta visste jag ocks\u00e5, var jag skulle s\u00f6ka.
